Seedance ignores the camera move: how to fix it

You asked for a push-in or tracking shot and got a different move, a static shot or a jittery drift.

Why it happens

Fixes, in order

  1. Give each timed beat one camera move, with its direction and speed.

“one camera move per beat”— OpenArt, 2026-08-10
“Use only one primary camera movement per storyboard segment.”— imastudio, 2026-08-11
  2. Budget setups by length: one generation is one shot of about 5 to 10 seconds. A 10-second clip has room for one or two setups, not four.

“Five to ten seconds, one clear action, one camera move.”— seedance-2.app
“Stacked camera moves Jitter, drift, mid-clip direction changes”— heyuan110.com, 2026-07-11
  3. Put extra moves in their own clips, or mark a deliberate cut.

“One primary move per clip; use “cut to” for the rest”— heyuan110.com, 2026-07-11

Change one thing per retry and keep the seed, so you can tell what helped. 5 quotes from the prompting guides linked above; we paraphrase the fix and quote the source word for word.
