Seedance product morphing: why the product changes shape, and how to fix it

The product (a shoe, bottle or package) changes shape, label or details during the clip, often in the last second.

Why it happens

Fixes, in order

  1. Slow the move on the product: a slow push-in or a gentle reveal instead of an extreme orbit or a zoom into the material.

“don't ask for camera moves that would make the product change shape (extreme rotation, zoom into texture)”— ai-inspo.com, 2026-06-18
  2. End the take on a held pose or a still product for the last second.

“Every take should end on a held pose; otherwise the last second morphs.”— golden-prompts.com, 2026-09-15
  3. Add one short stability line, e.g. "the shoe keeps its exact shape; smooth motion, no flicker or deformation". Keep it to one line rather than a long list.

“movements are natural and smooth, with no stutter or flicker”— ByteDance
“Always add constraints, maintaining face and clothing consistency without distortion”— YouTube tutorial
“Long lists of "no blur, no distortion, no extra fingers" often backfire.”— veo3ai-network, 2026-06-26
  4. If it still drifts, split it: generate the action and the product shot as separate clips and cut them together.

“Independent clips can be generated and then edited together”— ByteDance
“generate three separate clips and edit them together”— seeddance2.app (MkSaaS)

Change one thing per retry and keep the seed, so you can tell what helped. 7 quotes from the prompting guides linked above; we paraphrase the fix and quote the source word for word.
