Fix a failed take / Seedance / prompt ignored

Seedance ignores parts of your prompt: how to fix it

Some of what you asked for never shows up, especially details near the end of a long prompt.

Why it happens

Fixes, in order

  1. Cut it down. Guides put the sweet spot between about 60 and 150 words, depending on the guide and the clip length.

    “Rule 1: budget 60–100 words total.”— heyuan110.com, 2026-07-11
“prompts between 50–150 words consistently produce the best results.”— Kensa, 2026-04-04
“For a 13-15 second ad with three beats, that usually means 80-150 words.”— iCreat AI, 2026-07-24
  2. Spend words on what's ambiguous (who moves where, timing, contact), not on decoration.

“spend words on ambiguity, not decoration”— MattVidPro
  3. Replace long negative lists with one short constraints line.

“Long lists of "no blur, no distortion, no extra fingers" often backfire.”— veo3ai-network, 2026-06-26
“Negative prompts — write a CONSTRAINTS line instead.”— golden-prompts.com, 2026-09-15
  4. Set aspect ratio, duration and resolution in the generator settings, not in the prompt.

“Resolution, duration, and aspect ratio are controls, not prompt words.”— veo3ai-network, 2026-06-26
“choose resolution in the platform.”— golden-prompts.com, 2026-09-15

Change one thing per retry and keep the seed, so you can tell what helped. 8 quotes from the prompting guides linked above; we paraphrase the fix and quote the source word for word.
