Fix a failed take / Wan / camera ignored
Wan camera drifts or ignores the move: how to fix it
The frame slowly drifts when you wanted it still, or the move you described does not happen.
Why it happens
- No camera direction, so the frame defaults to a slight drift.
- Several camera actions, or "cinematic" instead of a named move.
Fixes, in order
Name one main camera move per shot, with the shot type. If you want a still frame, say "static" explicitly.
“A Wan 3.0 camera prompt should name only one main camera action per shot.”— WaveSpeed, 2026-08-26
“Name the shot type and one camera move instead.”— Morphic
“Prompts without any camera direction default to a slight drift, so naming static explicitly keeps the frame still.”— Runware, 2026-08-24
“The model excels when given clear instructions regarding lighting, art style (e.g., "cel shaded," "cinematic anime"), and camera movement.”— hotgen, 2026-02-21
Change one thing per retry and keep the seed, so you can tell what helped. 4 quotes from the prompting guides linked above; we paraphrase the fix and quote the source word for word.
