Fix a failed take / FLUX / sound not working
FLUX 3 video comes back nearly silent: how to fix it
The generated clip has little or no audible sound.
Why it happens
- Quiet, low-motion scenes with nothing that makes a sound.
- No explicit audio cue in the prompt.
Fixes, in order
Add an explicit audio cue and name the sound layers you want; build the scene around events that make sound (footsteps, impacts, rain, engines).
“Quiet, low-motion scenes are the ones most likely to come back with little audible sound, so it is worth adding an explicit audio cue for those.”— fal, 2026-10-12
“Scenes with footsteps, impacts, rain, engines, or crowd motion give the audio generation clearer material than abstract visual scenes.”— Black Forest Labs, 2026-10-12
“Naming the audio layers reserves those layers for what you asked for.”— Runware, 2026-08-04
“A shot brief is five slots in one to three sentences: subject, motion, setting and light, camera, audio cue.”— Morphed, 2026-08-07
